Our mission

Whitesand Surf oughts to be an example of tourism activities, combining water sports with marine conservation. That's why all the activities developed at the school have two main focuses: physical activity and environmental awareness.

We want to share our conviction to protect our island. Formentera is a paradise, and we have a responsibility to preserve it. Those of us who live here must convey our values ​​to visitors from all over the world.

Formentera is special because we have preserved it, and it must remain that way.

Our location is one of the best places on the planet, and there's still a lot of room for improvement!

Kayak

 Kayaking is one of the best options if you come to visit us as it does not require previous experience and will allow you to enjoy every corner of Illetes beach as seen from the sea.

Paddle Surf

 Trying out our paddle surfing equipment will allow you a closer contact with the sea as it requires a little more balance, but fun is guaranteed! This sport also requires no previous experience. If you are a large group we recommend you to try our Paddle Surf XXL, you will not be disappointed!

Snorkel

Sign up for a guided tour on our RIB around the island of Espalmador. We'll go to Sa Torreta beach and the Faro d'en Pou lighthouse which are north of s'Espalmador.

Wing Foil

 You only need a little previous experience to be able to rent our new high quality Wing foil equipment, this is the sport for the more adventurous who are looking for exciting experiences in Formentera!

¿Where are we?

Our nautical school is located in Formentera on the beach of Illetas in the Natural Park of Ses Salines, a unique protected area in the Mediterranean for water sports. To get there you have to get to the end of the access road of Illetas or arrive by sea through one of our two entry and exit channels on the west or east coast.

The Natural Park of Ses Salines d'Eivissa i Formentera is a space formed by terrestrial and marine habitats that are home to important populations of endemic flora and fauna of the Balearic Islands and protected areas such as the dune ecosystem present on the beach of Illetes. These species, together with the heritage that can be found in the park, such as the marine heritage as the posidonia meadows, makes this space has a high ecological value. Formentera is a reference in the conservation of the Posidonia oceanica meadows, hosting the longest meadow in the Mediterranean that goes from the city of Ibiza to the north of Formentera, where our school is located.

In our school, apart from having professionals specialized in canoeing, paddle surfing, wing foil and kite surfing, we want to transfer our knowledge to develop the concept of "conscious sport" where together we hope to form sportsmen and women conscious of the conservation of the marine environment.
